Heritage Value
Le Manoir des Lacs Inn is designated a Local Historic Place for its uses and for its unique setting.
Located on a peninsula at the foot of Lac Baker, the site of Le Manoir des Lacs Inn is unique for a school building. Surrounded by water, the grounds’ natural setting makes this a charming and picturesque site.
Le Manoir des Lacs Inn is the Village of Lac Baker’s former school, built in 1947, and used as a school until 1996. The building is an example of a former school that was successfully transformed into a commercial structure while respecting the building’s past history in the local community.
