Description du lieu patrimonial

Ebenezer United Church is located at 12274 Guelph Line, on the west side of Guelph Line, south of 25 Sideroad, in the Town of Milton. The one-storey red brick church was constructed in 1915.

The property was designated by the Town of Milton, in 1998, for its heritage value, under Part IV of the Ontario Heritage Act, By-law 69-98.

Valeur patrimoniale

Ebenezer United Church reflects a history of religious worship in the Town of Milton. The current building is the third to be constructed on this site. The property has been the site of religious worship since 1823, which coincides with early Nassagaweya settlers, who may have worshipped here.

Built in 1915, Ebenezer United Church is a one-storey cruciform building constructed of red brick, laid in stretcher bond, with three bays. The church has a high gable roof with a cross gable. Towers at the front and rear have decorative brickwork. The main entrance is a focal point that boasts double doors with stone voussoirs, moulded trim and a multiple-light transom.
