027 Victoria Street has been designated a Municipal Heritage Structure for its aesthetic value.

This structure is typical of the Second Empire row housing found in the Gower Street area of downtown St. John's after the 1892 Great Fire. Its plain façade incorporates the typical features of Second Empire style, such as the mansard roof and peaked dormer windows. The main entrance has recessed panels, a transom window, and a heavy entablature with decorative brackets.
