Heritage Value

The Doig Residence is a one-and-a-half-storey brick farm house built circa 1850 in the Georgian style (Seaforth Farm House) of architecture. Typical of this style is the three-bay facade with central entrance highlighted by sidelights and decorative transom. A small, centrally located dormer is also typical of farm houses of the period in which it was built. The facade is highlighted by two large six over six sash windows and shutters.
